With about 21,000 inhabitants, Venice is a charming small town with typical American residential structure. The crime rate is generally very low. Venice consists of the districts of Osprey, Laurel, Nokomis, Venice and South Venice and is about 13 Miles south of Sarasota.

Venice Florida is conveniently located off US 41 (Tamiami Trail) and off of I-75. This position ensures a fast connection in all directions. The Tampa and Fort Myers airports are about 1 hour’s drive, Orlando about 2 hours drive. From Miami you drive about 3 hours. Please see our travel info further down.

In a few minutes you can reach large supermarkets such as Walmart and Publix for daily needs. Large malls are located north in Sarasota or south in Port Charlotte, for a shopping day in an outlet, the Ellenton Outlets in Bradenton (about 45 minutes to the north), continue to the Miromar Outlets in Estero (about 1h 15 minutes to the south) at.

Venice by Car

Take exit 193 from I75 North or South and enter Jacaranda Blvd South. Stay on Jacaranda, cross US41/Tamiami Trail and take right on Englewood Rd. Take the second possible right turn into Flamingo Rd. Stay on Flamingo until you have reached Alligator Dr. Turn right, Villa Happy Gator is the second house on the left side.
